Cool things I want to do

With Maps:
Develop a new phone based Maps feature. You can call a 1800 number from your cell phone, give your current/destination addresses and an automated response will leave a voice mail with step by step directions. Of course, with the ubiquitous ad about a restaurant along the way, maybe ? It shouldn't be too difficult to do, with all the technology already in place.
Someone patent this idea for me, please!

Language translation:
Write a language translation engine (or port one) to translate English text to Kannada automatically. I have seen such for other language-pairs, but not for our beloved Kannada.
It would be such a boon, imo.

On a related note: This new startup has a nice idea of an offline Internet on your hard drive. Seems acer will sell machines with 40 Gig preloaded data (a slice of the Internet). Sounds good, especially for India and other developing countries. Take a pre loaded laptop and give it to a school. Kids can learn so much, and it doesnt take too much investment.
