- It snowed yesterday, all around Sunnyvale. Driving south on 101 near Mountainview, I could see a spectacular view of the mountain tops covered in snow! No wonder, its called Mountainview.

- Rarely do I get this message from Google. And, rarely do the servers not respond within 30 seconds. Google adsense servers, what's happening ?

- Freeway 101 has these electronic message boards, typically with innocuous messages like "Time to San Francisco airport = 8 mins". Today though was a chilly message: "Officers shooting red Nissan car with license number xxxxxx". Inspite of myself, I felt a shiver down my spine.

- I tailed a Scion xA today, on the way back from work. It looks sooper from all angles, and seems to be very roomy as well. Zippy too, being such a small car.

- Oracle has a contribution-matching program. Double the number of kids will benefit now, hurray Oracle!

- A white bug in front of my car had the license number "1040 TAX" - No marks for guessing what she does for a living. A desi software engineer' car that we spotted in front of Woodlands had this number "Y2KMAGU" ( Y2K baby). I guess half the bay area knows his son/daughter's age now. :)
