Cars, cars, cars

The last few days, whenever I have had some spare time at work, I have been on www.edmunds.com, drooling at new cars. Its amazing what an amount of pleasure new cars give! Right this moment, I want to buy one of these babies.

Scion xA:
Seems similar to the Maruti Suzuki Swift in India. My brother so much wanted to buy one, and we almost did, until better sense prevailed and the wagonR rescued us. This Scion is around 13 K$, and comes with sports seating, 5 seats, sound system, sporty looks and I can get manual transmission. If my Civic sells for 10 k, I need 3k $ to make the difference up. Just to illustrate how similar they both are, here is the Swift:

Then, there is the cool tC, my first choice before Civic came along. The dual moonroof and the cool styling are unbeatable. (at least, in this range). Mazda's new wagon and Mitsubishi spyder ( or is it spider?) are cool too. We also have our own Honda Civic Si. And the new Civic hybrid at such a low price. Gas prices dont seem high enough for that one though :)

Basically, I want:
- manual transmission, so I can enjoy the driving. More importantly, so I can learn stick shifting!
- Leather sporty seats.
- A cool music system - Just got the latest Bollywood songs from India!
- Hatchback, prefereably one that folds the rear seats all the way
- Good mileage - for the sane person inside me,
- Good resale value, so I can indulge myself next year once more!

My Civic, it needs to go.

Admittedly, a sale now would be perfectly timed for a high resale value. But ze pocket does not allow buying new and expensive toys right now, so the next best thing to do is to jazz up tha civic itself.

I can't turn it into a manual transmission vehicle, but I can add sports seat covers, leather steering wheel cover, a rear spoiler and a cool sound system. Maybe even paint it bring red in color. And drive it like a sports car. ( Note to self: dont drive soo nicely, people will fall asleep in the rear seat).
